Philosophy of Teaching
Learning a language is a journey that will take years before the end is reached, if it can be reached at all. In many ways, I link language study to playing a musical instrument. It will take hundreds of hours of practice before any really difficult piece can be performed. The same is true of language. Without a significant investment of time and energy over an extended length of time, mastery of any kind will not happen.
My two specialties are music and languages. Since I am currently pursuing Spanish as a second language, I relate very well to the difficulties of acquiring another language as an adult learner. I am also interested in a wide variety of subjects from science to literature to history. My latest passion is pursuing fluency in the Spanish language but before that it was Latin, then chemistry, biology and physiology. An avid reader with a broad range of interests, I love to share what I have learned.
